Volunteer Opportunities

  • Position: Volunteer Magic Meadows Yurt Dishwasher
    Reports To: Nordic Center Manager
    Base Salary: Unpaid volunteer position. 5 volunteer shifts=2 Yurt Dinner tickets
    Hours of Work: December- March. Shifts are generally 6-10 PM, with There are 1-3 shifts/week. Evening and weekend work are required. More shifts are available during holidays. 

    Job Description: Magic Meadows Yurt Dishwashers assist in the kitchen with dishwashing and dinner wrap-up in a backcountry dining setting. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Arrive to yurt via snowshoes or Nordic skis to support back-of-house prep and dishwashing

    • Support team with clean up and loading the snowmobile at the end of the shift

    • Ensure supplies are put away and tidy in Cat Barn prior to leaving

    Preferred Skills/Prerequisites:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS, ambulate in tight spaces, and carry loads up and down stairs

    Perks & Benefits

    • 5 volunteer shifts (6-10 PM) will earn 2 yurt dinner tickets to be redeemed within the same winter season, based on dinner availability.
