Ice Skating

The Big Mine Ice Arena

The Town of Crested Butte owns and operates the ice rink adjacent to the Nordic Center. CB Nordic staffs the warming house and rents ice skates for use on the public rink. All skate rentals include a use fee assessed by the Town of Crested Butte. The use of the rink is free if you bring your own skates.

Skate Rental

We have a selection of figure skates and hockey skates for rent.

  • Adult Skate Rental – $25

  • Child Skate Rental – $15

  • Ice Skate Sharpening – $10 (turnaround dependent on staff availability)
