We’re just a month away from summer, so things are ramping up again around CB Nordic. We’re looking forward to the Volunteer Party, Grin & Bear It, and Summer Grand Traverse…before you know it, we’ll be gathering again for the Fall Potluck.

Read on for more details about how to get involved. And since it’s still technically off-season, we hope you can enjoy a slow morning with a cup of coffee to peruse the 2025 Spring Newsletter.

The Class of 2025

Each year around this time, we reflect on the last season and publish the Spring Newsletter. It’s a chance to recognize how lucky we are to have such an amazing winter season in CB. It’s also an opportunity to say thank you to all of you who make this little organization a reality year after year.

With 55km of trails open 24 hours a day for the winter season, we’re naturally all going to use the trails a bit differently. This year, we take a look at our trails through the eyes of some community members and their nordic routines. We hope you enjoy the Class of 2025.

Grin & Bear It Registration

Plus a new mountain bike race!

The weather is hinting at shifting towards spring next week. Perfect time to sign up for a race and take the motivation to hit the trails.

Join us on Saturday, July 12th for the 42 Annual Grin & Bear It.

This year, we’re offering both trail running and mountain biking events. Choose from the traditional 15km run out-and-back to Green Lake. Or, go for the 25km loop and choose sneakers or tires. See you there.

Volunteer Party

Thursday, June 19th

We want to say thank you! Thank you all for your countless hours of support. Thank you for sharing our love of winter.

Please join us on Thursday, June 19th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for our annual Volunteer Appreciation Party. We’ll gather at the Nordic Center for food, drinks, and raffle prizes.

Calling all Volunteers!

Grin & Bear It / Grand Traverse

We have two summer events on deck, and we need your help.

We’re looking for volunteers to join us on Saturday, July 12th for the Grin & Bear It Trail Run and Mountain Bike. Sign up for start and finish line help, course marking and sweeping, aid station shifts, and course marshal positions.

A little further down the road, we’re looking for help with the Summer Grand Traverse over Labor Day weekend. Whether you want to help in CB, Aspen, or out on the course, we have a shift for you.

Snowsports Scholarships

Apply with CB Snowsports Foundation

The scholarship application window is open now. Apply for financial aid for winter sports in the 2025-2026 season.

CB Nordic Team program registration will open on Tuesday, September 9th, but scholarships can still be applied toward nordic programming.

The application deadline is May 31st at 5 p.m.
